I Thessalonians 5:18 reads, "in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." Happy Thanksgiving to all Bloggers on this site! Thanksgiving is remembering God's blessings or benefits this past year! Can you think of God's blessings this past year? Has He blessed you or do you not care about Him? The Pilgrims came to our country in the early 1600's remembering how God had blessed them, even though they went through much travail, including many dying! Thus, the First Thanksgiving took place!
Psalm 103:2 reads, "Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities (sins)." Have you forgotten how God has so richly blessed our land, the good ole USA! Psalm 116:12 reads, "What shall I render to the Lord For all His benefits toward me?" Even the Psalmist is asking what we should do, due to all of God's benefits.
